My Loved One Has Passed

When a person passes away, some assets transfer automatically to beneficiaries,
while others must be handled through Probate Court. The Court appoints a fiduciary
to manage the estate and ensure assets are properly distributed.

The fiduciary inventories assets and liabilities, pays creditors, and distributes
property according to the decedent’s wishes and Ohio law.

Estate administration can be complex. The Court strongly recommends working with
an attorney. Court staff cannot provide legal advice.
