The Belmont County Alternative School is operated to encourage academic success and deter negative behaviors in the school environment. Education plays a key role in promoting healthy, successful young adults, and this program provides structured classrooms to help students achieve graduation goals.
School Guidelines
| 1. | Students suspended from school must attend the C-CAP Alternative School during their suspension. |
| 2. | After three suspensions, the school may file an Unruly charge and the student may appear before a judge. |
| 3. | Assignments are provided by the home school and completed with support from the Alternative School teacher. Work is returned for grading. |
| 4. | Students may participate in structured group discussions. |
Classroom Programs
Traditional Suspension Classroom
This short-term program supports students suspended for up to 10 days, keeping them engaged academically through assigned coursework.
Virtual Learning Program (VLP)
Students enrolled in online learning may attend to receive structure and support, helping them stay on track in a supervised environment.

The school is located at the Belmont Harrison Career Center. Students must follow school dress policies and are responsible for lunch arrangements.
